Welcome to The Old Inn, a traditional thatched pub set in the picturesque village of Mullion on the spectacular Lizard Peninsula, the most southerly point of mainland Britain.Steeped in history and at the heart of village life, The Old Inn has provided food and respite to weary travellers since the 16th century.Today, you will find a warm welcome, a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, fine locally-sourced food and comfortable en-suite accommodation. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the pub. We have plenty of car parking. With five large, light en-suite bedrooms all individually furnished, The Old Inn, makes the ideal retreat for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We have four double and one twin room, and are happy to accommodate single travellers.Well-behaved dogs are welcome as long as they stay in their own beds! Our team of chefs are passionate about using fresh, local seasonal produce - and Cornwall offers a wonderful larder of quality ingredients to choose from. Our team make their own bread, rolls, jams chutneys and desserts and are always busy sourcing new local products. All meat and fish is sourced from within a 10 mile radius. Meat comes from local butchers Retallacks, just down the road. Fish and Shellfish is caught by Kernowsashimi at Helford and is so fresh and local we even know which day boat the fish is caught on. Vegetables are also locally sourced and, of course, seasonal. Cheeses including the very local and delicious Helford White and Helford Blue come from Treveador Farm Dairy.Wherever possible, we are happy to provide small portions for children. We can also cater for small functions.Being a St Austell Brewery pub, we stock the southwest's finest real ale - St Austell Tribute as well as two other St Austell beers, plus a guest beer. We also hold the prestigious Cask Marque reflecting the care we take of our beer and cellar. Our extensive wine list has plenty of choice and with the ideal wine to complement our varied menu.
